The 2022 Wagoneer gets 392 total horsepower from the 5.7-liter HEMI engine block. Featuring the Variable-Cam Timing technology, this V-8 powertrain cranks out 404 pound-feet of torque. Generating 12 peak kilowatts and 130 lb-ft, a belt-starter generator is incorporated into the vehicle’s efficient powertrain, which also has the eTorque Hybrid Assist technology. Creating a 3.21 axle ratio, the 5.7-L engine earns a 10,000-pound towing rating per SAE J2807 metrics. Displacing 6.4 L, the 2022 Grand Wagoneer’s HEMI engine pumps out 471 net hp. Featuring the Fuel Saver Mode, this eight-cylinder propulsion system twists out 475 lb-ft. Creating a 3.92 axle ratio, this massive engine has a 9,850-lb trailer rating. Both signature engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission system. Featuring a capless filler door, a 26.5-gallon fuel tank is standard on these luxurious SUVs. Engineered for superb off-road handling, the Traction Management System is standard on these versatile family cars. An electronic dial engages five distinct driving settings from the Selec-Terrain TMS interface. Installed on the Wagoneer base trim, the Quadra-Trac I 4WD system is ready to tackle off-road trails. The Wagoneer Series II edition runs on the Quadra-Trac II 4×4 drive, incorporating the Hill Descent Control and a two-speed transfer case. Providing even better off-road performance, the Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system comes with a limited-slip differential for locking the rear wheels.
Luxury Features
Wrapped in perforated Nappa leather, the 2022 Wagoneer’s 12-way front seats include heating and ventilation. Wrapped in Palermo leather, the 2022 Grand Wagoneer’s 24-way front seats also have climate control. Both luxury SUVs have heated second-row seating with leather trimming. However, ventilation for the middle-row seats is only available for the Grand Wagoneer. This high-end SUV also comes standard with captain’s chairs for up to two occupants in the second row. Both family-friendly vehicles have third-row seating with a 60-40 folding design. Managing temperatures in three zones, an automatic climate control system is standard inside the Wagoneer. You’ll get an additional zone for the Grand Wagoneer’s automatic HVAC unit.
Technology Features
Powered by the Uconnect 5 technology, the 2022 Wagoneer’s multimedia center has a 10.1-inch display. Also running on this all-new platform, the 2022 Grand Wagoneer’s infotainment unit has a 12.0-inch touch screen. Both upscale SUVs include GPS navigation from TomTom. Designed by Alpine, nine speakers are standard in the Wagoneer. You can upgrade to the 19 McIntosh speakers for even better acoustics. Also made by this iconic brand, the Grand Wagoneer’s sound system has 23 speakers. Additionally, both vehicles offer up to 11 USB ports for charging mobile devices.
