Performance Features

Engineered to deliver 410 net horsepower, the 6.4-liter HEMI engine propels the 2021 Ram 4500. This naturally aspirated, eight-cylinder powerplant delivers slightly less than 430 pound-feet of peak torque. When appropriately configured, this heavy-duty Ram truck can tow a trailer that’s loaded with 21,540 pounds. The V-8 gasoline engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission system from Aisin. You may also sync the HEMI powertrain with the TorqueFlite automatic transmission that delivers two additional gear ratios. With intervention from the Fuel Saver Technology, the HEMI engine operates only on four cylinders in some situations. The 2021 Ram 4500 is available with the 6.7-L Cummins engine that pumps out 360 hp. Running on diesel, this I-6 powerhouse dishes out 800 lb-ft. Built on the proprietary Power Stroke platform, the 2021 Ford F-450’s 6.7-L engine kicks out 475 lb-ft of torque.

Burning B20 biodiesel or ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel, the turbocharged engine cranks out an astonishing 1,050 lb-ft when revolving at only 1,600 RPM. A 10-speed automatic transmission with the TorqShift label works in tandem with the turbo-diesel engine on this heavy-duty Ford pickup truck. Several driving modes are available for the F-450 model, including the Deep Sand/Snow and Tow/Haul. A 4×4 drive system and the Live-Drive Power Takeoff are some other notable mechanical highlights on this powerful Ford vehicle. When properly set up, this robust Ford truck can tow up to 37,000 pounds.
