Boasting the Trail Rated design, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon offers tremendous all-terrain capabilities and premium electronic technologies. Flaunting the only Desert Rated badge on the current auto market, the 2021 Gladiator Mojave thrives well on sand.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and Mojave harness up to 285 net horsepower from the Pentastar engine block. Capable of stopping and starting itself to conserve gasoline, this signature V-6 powertrain cranks out 260 pound-feet of torque. When paired with a six-speed manual transmission system, the six-cylinder engine supports a maximum towing load of up to 4,500 pounds based on SAE J2807 compliance. When running on an eight-speed automatic transmission system, the Rubicon may tow up to 7,000 pounds. However, this gearbox increases the Mojave’s towing limit to 6,000 pounds. As this strongly suggests, the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine is designed to operate on diesel. Optional on the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, this V-6 engine whips out 260 hp. Capable of cranking out 442 lb-ft of torque, the turbocharged powertrain supports a payload of 1,075 pounds.
Running on the Rock-Trac 4×4 drive system, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon tackles treacherous terrains with ease. Featuring a transfer case that creates ratios ranging from 4:1 to 84:1, this advanced driveline certainly bolsters the Trail Rated logo on this midsize pickup truck. Employing the Tru-Lok technology, the front, and rear differentials may be fully locked for enhanced off-road traction. If necessary, you can manually disconnect the front sway bar on this versatile Jeep model. A toggle switch on the center stack makes it easy to engage the class-exclusive functions on this premium pickup truck. Likewise, the Off-Road+ Mode may be quickly turned on or off with the push of a clearly labeled button. Having the FOX 2.0 label, the Rubicon’s performance-tuned suspension system incorporates monotube shock absorbers. This high-end model also rolls the 33.0-inch Falken tires that create a maximum ground clearance of 11.1 inches. Fitted with a 4×4 drive system from the proprietary Command-Trac family, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave offers shift-on-the-fly mechanisms at speeds under 45 mph. This all-new model rides on the FOX suspension system with 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks. You’ll surely notice the vehicle’s two front tow hooks and two rear tow hooks with bright orange paint for maximum visibility. Also rolling on 33-inch tires, this Desert Rated Jeep model achieves a class-leading ground clearance of up to 11.6 inches. Providing enhanced movement on rocky surfaces, rock rails are installed on both Jeep pickup trucks.
Introduced for the first time on the market, the TrailCam Off-Road Camera is optional on the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and Mojave. Sending videos of your projected path to the Uconnect 8.4-inch touch screen, this all-new optical system enhances your awareness of potential obstacles and other hazards. Both Jeep pickup trucks offer SiriusXM Guardian, SiriusXM Traffic Plus, Siri Eyes Free, and other premium technologies in the infotainment system.
