2023 Wagoneer Performance Features

Powertrain Features

The 2023 Wagoneer retains a 5.7-liter engine block that’s been on the marketplace for numerous generations. Key capabilities of the standard HEMI powertrain include 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. Such a renowned V-8 powerhouse allows you to tow 10,000 pounds per SAE J2807 recommendations. Wearing the exclusive Hurricane badge, a 3.0-L engine with twin turbochargers is available for the 2023 Wagoneer. Assembled into an inline-six formation, this all-new engine spits out 420 hp. Twisting out 460 lb-ft, the twin-turbo engine doesn’t decrease the towing rating compared to the HEMI installation. Stamped with the high-output label, the 2023 Grand Wagoneer’s Hurricane engine increases production by up to 90 net hp. This high-output powerhouse also boosts torque production by 30 lb-ft. Interestingly, the modified Hurricane engine loses 250 pounds of trailering capability compared to the standard edition. You can also buy the 2023 Grand Wagoneer with a 6.4-L engine that’s entirely based on the conventional HEMI engineering. This naturally aspirated, eight-cylinder engine kicks out 470 hp. Spitting out 455 lb-ft, the massive V-8 engine tows 9,850 lb. Additionally, both SUVs run on an eight-speed automatic transmission system with unique architecture for urban and off-road deployment.

2023 Grand Wagoneer Off-Road Features

Off-Road Capabilities

Stellantis builds all 2023 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models with the proprietary Selec-Terrain technology. Gone are the days of using a dial for managing the Terrain Management System. A user-friendly switch is the main gateway into the five modes from the TMS, including the Sand/Mud Mode and Rock Mode. Engineered for full-time deployment on the trails, the Quadra-Trac I 4×4 system is a perfect fit for the 2023 Wagoneer. Such an entry-level drivetrain is governed by a single-speed transfer case. With the Quadra-Trac II design, you can access an extra transfer case speed from a 4×4 drive system. Engineered for hardcore off-road adventures, the Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system is the leading mechanical highlight of the 2023 Grand Wagoneer. Additionally, this high-end SUV has the Quadra-Lift air suspension with variable articulation and ground clearance.
