Performance Features
Unleashing 285 horsepower, the Pentastar engine block earns standard status under the hoods of the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and Rubicon. This 3.6-liter engine block uses a sequential multi-port fuel injection (SMPFI) system for efficient and forceful combustion. Burning regular-grade gas, the iconic V-6 engine produces 260 pound-feet of torque. When equipped with this entry-level engine, both Jeep models tow 4,500 gross pounds as judged by the SAE J2807 code. A six-speed manual transmission system is perfect for the default gas powertrain. However, both pickup trucks may be enhanced with an automatic gearbox that provides two additional speeds. You can also equip the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with the legendary EcoDiesel engine. This 3.0-L powerhouse unleashes 442 lb-ft of torque on a tachometer differential of up to 1,400 RPM. The six-cylinder, turbocharged engine is engineered to accept low-sulfur diesel. Both trims are equipped with front and rear axles that have remote-locking activation. Powered by the Tru-Lok technology, these components ensure a reliable grip on some of the roughest terrains. Standard on the 2023 Gladiator Mojave, the Command-Trac 4×4 drive system regulates torque distribution among the wheels. This trim may be fitted with the Selec-Trac drivetrain. You’ll only find the Rock-Trac 4×4 system on the Rubicon edition. This is the only trim on the 2023 Gladiator’s lineup with a disconnecting sway bar in the front suspension. However, the Mojave model differentiates itself with the lineup-exclusive FOX suspension system.
Exterior Amenities
Made of steel, a 5-foot box is standard on the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and Rubicon. Both pickup trucks have a dampened tailgate that may be set to three positions. Cargo lights for the bed are added at no extra cost. These robust Jeep models offer several other convenient exterior amenities, like the spray-in bedliner and a roll-up tonneau cover. An adjustable, rail-based cargo system is available for extra utility in hauling cargo. Similarly, an optional 115-V power outlet provides excellent utility for road trips. Two-piece, high-clearance fender flares are standard on these midsize trucks from Jeep. Both models boast rear windows and quarter windows with a deep tint. Additionally, the optional Corning Gorilla Glass is a must-have item for any off-road enthusiasts.
Technology Features
Adopting the Uconnect 4 technology, an 8-inch infotainment system is standard inside the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and Rubicon. In addition to having a navigation system, this multimedia hub comes with complimentary Travel Link and Traffic plans from SiriusXM for up to five years. Both Jeep pickup trucks offer a wireless speaker system for outdoor enjoyment. Engineered by Alpine, a nine-speaker audio system provides excellent entertainment inside the cab. Additionally, both Jeep trims may be equipped with the forward-looking TrailCam.
