Performance Features

Kicking out 303 horsepower, the 2023 Challenger’s 3.6-liter engine block carries the legacy of the Pentastar saga. As you move up the lineup, you can choose the HEMI 345 engine, which whips out 375 hp. Burning gasoline through natural aspiration, this classic V-8 engine develops 410 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the 2023 Ford Mustang, the turbocharged 2.3-L engine has peak ratings of 310 hp and 350 lb-ft. This I-4 engine uses the conventional GTDI design for combustion. The Ford muscle car offers a 5.0-L engine that precisely matches the torque output of the HEMI 345 engine. Built on the Ti-VCT platform, the Mustang’s V-8 engine generates up to 450 hp. This Ford model has a six-speed manual transmission, which can be controlled through the Rev Matching interface. The Challenger’s six-speed manual gearbox is branded fully by TREMEC. You’ll get two more gear ratios from an automatic transmission with the TorqueFlite endorsement. Similarly, the Mustang is available with a 10-speed gearbox and paddle shifters. Both muscle cars offer the Launch Control and Line Lock for competitive deployment on the track. Integrated into the front braking system, six-piston calipers by Brembo are optional on these vehicles. The Challenger’s SRT Performance Pages offer more custom settings than the Mustang’s selectable Drive Modes.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger comes in premium body colors that make compelling statements on the road or track. Stellantis sells this muscle car in Sublime, Plum Crazy, Octane Red, Frostbite, and other colors. You won’t find as many paint choices for the 2023 Ford Mustang, which is available in Race Red, Atlas Blue, and Iconic Silver. Most trims on the lineup offer 19-inch alloy wheels, which come in black, Ebony High Gloss, and other finishes. You can add 20-inch alloy wheels to most 2023 Challenger models. Some cool car wheel designs include Black Noise, Lights Out, and Devil’s Rim. Painted stripes, round Air Catcher headlights, the Shaker hood, and extruded fender badges further enhance the car’s exterior design.
