Performance Capabilities
Delivering up to 293 horsepower, the 3.6-liter Pentastar engine is standard on the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Unleashing 260 pound-feet of torque, the V-6 powerhouse is also installed by default on the Trailhawk. This normally aspirated, 24-valve powertrain has a maximum trailering rating of 6,200 pounds. Optional on the Trailhawk, the 5.7-L engine increases the towing capacity by up to 1,000 lb. Having a V-8 arrangement, the classic HEMI powerhouse is rated at 357 hp and 390 lb-ft. Exploiting the Fuel Saver Technology, this eight-cylinder propulsion system is incredibly efficient for its large displacement. The HEMI engine is exclusively mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with the 8HP75 design. Similarly, the Pentastar powerhouse is coupled with an eight-speed gearbox with the 850RE label. An electronic dial manages the gear settings of each signature transmission. Both Grand Cherokee models boast the Traction Management System, controlled by a small switch instead of a traditional dial. You could choose the Mud/Sand Mode or Snow Mode to deal with treacherous conditions. Several exclusive installations also enhance the Trailhawk’s off-road skills, such as the Selec-Speed Control, a rear electronic slip differential, and a disconnected front sway bar. This Trail Rated SUV is properly armored with several steel skid plates and red tow hooks. A 2-foot water-fording rating is another impressive capability of this rugged model. A 4×4 drive system with the Quadra-Drive II branding certainly differentiates this Trail Rated trim from the Limited model, which runs on the Quadra-Trac I 4WD. Both Jeep models have the standard Hill Descent Control and Electronic Roll Mitigation for handling steep trails.
Technology Features
Having a 10.25-inch field of view, a frameless digital cluster is standard on the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. An 8.4-inch touch screen with the Uconnect 5 design is installed on this Jeep SUV. Also measuring 8.4 inches, the Uconnect 5 NAV adds TomTom GPS navigation and SiriusXM Guardian to the Trailhawk. In addition to offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, both models are compatible with Amazon Alexa. A 10.1-inch touch screen is optional for these premium Grand Cherokee trims.
