Off-Road Performance Features

Off-Road Performance Features

Running on the standard Command-Trac 4×4 drive system, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator is undoubtedly ready to conquer several trails in North America. Built for part-time deployment, the connected two-speed transfer case could be paired with an optional limited-slip rear differential from the Trac-Lok series. If you upgrade to the Selec-Trac 4×4 drive, you’ll enjoy the extra benefit of a full-time design and a 2.71:1 ratio. You also have two options for the high-end Rock-Trac 4×4 drive, which increases the driving ratio to 4:1. You simply will not find as many 4WD options for the 2022 Bronco, which runs on a relatively generic 4×4 drive with the Automatic On-Demand Engagement. However, this Ford SUV has the unique Trail Control technology for safer and more consistent driving on off-road trails. You can also buy this versatile Ford model with the Trail Turn Assist for enhanced handling on curved off-road paths. Both models offer fully locking differentials in the front and rear. If needed, the 2022 Gladiator’s front sway bar could be disconnected for significant gains in articulation. This Trail Rated Jeep pickup truck boasts an approach angle of nearly 44 degrees for taking on extremely steep terrains. Most of the 2022 Bronco models have approach angles below 40 degrees. Clearing the ground by more than 11 inches, the Gladiator fords through 30 inches of water. Both vehicles offer custom-tuned suspension systems from FOX.

Utility Features

Utilty Features

As a midsize pickup truck, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator naturally offers much better utility than the 2022 Bronco SUV. The Jeep model has a spacious bed that could be used to haul cargo. Based on the manufacturer’s estimates, this Trail Rated model can handle a payload of more than 1,700 pounds. The vehicle boasts a surprising towing rating of slightly more than 7,600 lb for its light-duty character. Unfortunately, the 2022 Bronco doesn’t even come close to matching such towing and hauling specifications. Mopar also makes it easy to customize the 2022 Gladiator for off-road driving. For example, you could buy the all-new Door-Off Mirror Kit for this versatile Jeep pickup truck. A dampened, three-position tailgate is another convenient installation on this Trail Rated model.

Safety Features

Safety Features

The 2022 Gladiator offers the all-new TrailCam, which helps you navigate off-road trails more confidently. This premium pickup truck also comes standard with a rear backup camera and colored gridlines. You can add the optional Active Safety Group to this Trail Rated model. Additional accident-prevention features are available from the Advanced Active Safety Group. The Electronic Roll Mitigation and Hill-Start Assist balance this tough pickup truck on steep landscapes or inclined roads. The Ford Co-Pilot360 package doesn’t add as many active safety features to the 2022 Bronco.
