2021 Jeep Wrangler Performance

Jeep Wrangler Performance

Performance capabilities are expanded for the Jeep Wrangler this year. The Rubicon, a trail-oriented vehicle, is now powered by a V8 engine. A new hybrid engine is available for the Wrangler for the first time. The other engines in the lineup carry over from the 2020 model. All around, you have many impressive choices. The first engine, which comes standard on the Wrangler, is a 3.6L with six cylinders. This entry-level engine has a top power output of 285 HP, and it produces up to 260 LB-FT of torque. You have the choice of manual transmission or an automatic with this engine. The second gasoline engine is a 2.0L turbo with four cylinders. Its power output is 270 HP, and it creates 295 LB-FT of torque. A V8 powers the Rubicon this year with 470 HP and the same in torque. A diesel engine is available for a power output of 260 HP and torque output of 442 LB-FT. The new hybrid system produces 375 HP and 470 LB-FT of torque. The hybrid powertrain will use the turbo 2.0L engine and electric motor generators. It will come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Interior amenities range from practical to extravagant with the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The first trim in the lineup is the Sport. There are also several variants available in this trim. The Sport gets manually-operated doors and windows, and it starts with a five-inch display screen. An available package adds all-weather floor mats. Tinted windows are added to the Sport S, which also gets a leather steering wheel and air conditioning. The Altitude has a special black exterior paint color and a matching interior color scheme. With the Sahara comes a larger seven-inch infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and smartphone pairing. Automatic climate control is added to this trim level as well. The Sahara Altitude, a variant, gets more leather in its interior, including a leather-wrapped brake handle and leather gear shift knob along with leather upholstery. The High Altitude adds a 4G WiFi hotspot and an 8.4-inch infotainment display with upgraded technology. Topping the 2021 Wrangler lineup is the Rubicon with a cloth interior, climate control, keyless entry, and a push-button start. The Rubicon has its own variant called the 392 with leather-covered sport seats, a leather steering wheel, and paddle shifters.
