The Jeep Active Drive 4×4 drive engages the 2021 Jeep Cherokee’s rear wheels when there’s a loss of traction. A two-speed transfer case supplements a 4×4 drive that has the Active Drive II nameplate. This compact SUV also offers the Active Drive Lock technology with the Rock Mode. Featuring the Quadra-Drive II design, a 4×4 drive with the Rear Electronic Limited-Slip Differential is optional for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Tuned for sporty handling, a 4×4 drive with the Quadra-Trac design is on the lineup. This high-end model rides on an air suspension that’s built on the proprietary Quadra-Lift architecture. All-terrain tires with Kevlar reinforcement are optional on the versatile Trailhawk edition, which has lots of other exclusive mechanical hardware. For example, this model is fitted with steel plates and red tow hooks for extra peace of mind in remote locations. Both Trail Rated models have the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System for optimum on-road and off-road handling.

The 2021 Jeep Cherokee harnesses up to 271 horsepower from the 3.2-liter Pentastar engine. Earning a 4,500-pound towing rating, this V-6 engine cranks out 239 pound-feet of torque. Cranking out 295 lb-ft, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers a fuel economy of 31 MPG on the highway. This compact Jeep SUV is available with a 2.4-liter powertrain that’s built on the Tigershark platform. Peaking at 180 hp, this efficient engine offers a driving range of up to 474 miles. A supercharged 6.2-L engine is optional for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Kicking out 707 hp, this HEMI engine can tow up to 7,200 pounds. The SRT edition is powered by a 6.4-L HEMI engine that whips out 475 total hp. This racing-inspired model also wears the Brembo braking system with 15.0-inch front rotors and six-piston calipers. Optimized for sanctioned drag racing, the Launch Control quickly accelerates the SRT and Trackhawk models.

An 8.4-inch touch screen is optional inside the 2021 Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. A navigation system and other digital applications are built into the Uconnect 4C NAV infotainment console. For example, SiriusXM Guardian has a handful of remote services and other security functions. Amazon Alexa, 4G Wi-Fi, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay provide optimum utility for smartphone users during trips. You can manage the Off-Road Pages on the Cherokee’s multimedia system. The Grand Cherokee SRT and Trackhawk trims have the Performance Pages integrated into the multimedia platform. Coming from the legendary Harman Kardon brand, up to 19 speakers are optional for the 2021 Grand Cherokee. Generating clear acoustics from SiriusXM Satellite Radio, the premium sound system includes a 10.0-inch subwoofer.
